Victory Pulse · October 16, 2026 · Edition prepared before Friday’s games

October 12 | ALCS Game 1 | Cleveland 7, Tampa Bay 3

Cleveland opened the American League Championship Series with a 7–3 road victory, taking the first game from Tampa Bay. The result immediately shifted the series: the Guardians had secured a win away from home, while the Rays faced the task of responding before the matchup moved to Cleveland.

The Victory Pulse takeaway: Winning the opener gave Cleveland an opportunity to build pressure without needing to sweep the road games. For Tampa Bay, Game 2 became a chance to restore balance.
