NBA PREGAME — PRESEASON

Heat at Magic: Miami's final rehearsal needs balance

Victory Pulse · October 16, 2026 · Edition prepared before Friday’s games

Friday, October 16 | Miami at Orlando | 7 p.m. ET

Miami closes its preseason in Orlando after scoring 144 against Brooklyn. The offensive output supplies momentum, but a more balanced performance would be the stronger final checkpoint before opening week.

What we're watching: Defensive communication, control of the defensive glass, and whether Miami can keep generating good possessions when its lineup changes. The score will be one measure; the quality of execution across different units will be another. Playing time and participation remain subject to preseason decisions.
