Peralta gives Tampa Bay the response it needed

Victory Pulse · October 16, 2026 · Edition prepared before Friday’s games

October 13 | ALCS Game 2 | Tampa Bay 3, Cleveland 1

Freddy Peralta delivered six scoreless innings as Tampa Bay beat Cleveland 3–1 to even the ALCS. A José Ramírez fielding error helped open a fourth-inning opportunity, and Liam Hicks supplied a two-run single as the Rays scored all three of their runs in that frame.

The Victory Pulse takeaway: Tampa Bay did not need an offensive explosion. Peralta's outing and one productive inning were enough to send the series to Cleveland tied at one game apiece.
