Kentucky makes its top-10 argument with a 21–13 win at Oklahoma
FINAL · Team rankings are entering-game AP rankings.
Kentucky left Norman with a 21–13 victory Saturday, improving to 6–1 overall and 4–1 in the SEC. On a day of losses around the rankings, the Wildcats supplied their own reason to move upward.
Four interceptions and five sacks anchored the win. Kenny Minchey completed 21 of 28 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns, both to Willie Rodriguez. Kentucky’s defense repeatedly gave the offense room to survive a difficult road game.
The numbers that matter
Four interceptions. Five sacks. Two Minchey-to-Rodriguez touchdown passes.
The Victory Pulse view
Victory Pulse analysis: Kentucky deserves a serious top-10 discussion. Winning on the road while teams above the Wildcats lose strengthens that argument. It does not automatically settle it: voters must also weigh the full season, and Tennessee and BYU added major wins of their own. Our position is that Kentucky belongs in the conversation; its next official AP ranking remains unconfirmed in this edition.
Ranking outlook is editorial opinion, not an official AP poll result.
