Titans at Colts: Tennessee needs drives that finish

The Titans travel to Indianapolis looking for their first regular-season win. Tennessee’s official schedule lists five losses to open the season, including a 26–3 defeat against Houston last Sunday. This week’s divisional road game makes offensive progress a central storyline.

Turn an opening into a complete drive

We will be watching whether Tennessee can connect the early gains in a possession to a meaningful finish. That requires protection that holds through the play, timely decisions and fewer situations in which the offense has to recover from its own mistake.

Keep the defense out of repeated short fields

Ball security and field position belong in the same discussion. A defense asked to protect a short field has less room to work. The Titans’ offensive decisions and kick coverage can help determine how often Indianapolis begins a possession with an immediate advantage.

The Victory Pulse view

The most useful sign of improvement would be sustained offensive execution, not a single isolated gain. Tennessee needs more possessions that reach a manageable third down and end with a credible scoring opportunity. That is the benchmark we will track in Indianapolis.
